Initial Consultation
Most clients begin with an initial consultation: a conversation about your family, your goals and the planning questions on your mind, and how our firm can help.
Intake
We then learn about your family, your assets and your existing documents through our estate planning questionnaire. Just as important, we take the time to understand your values and what you hope your legacy will accomplish, so your plan reflects what matters most to you.
The Design Meeting
We review your information and any existing documents in advance, then meet with you to discuss your goals, walk through the planning options that fit them, and present our recommendations. The Design Meeting carries a flat fee, which is credited toward your plan if you proceed.
Drafting
Once you approve the plan and sign our engagement letter, we prepare your documents and review the drafts with you, so you understand each one before you sign.
Execution
Sign in person with our signing team, who guide you through each document, or sign on your own using our detailed signing instructions.
Implementation
Your plan takes full effect once your trusts are funded and your assets and beneficiary designations are aligned with it. We advise on these steps and can assist at your request. You remain responsible for completing them.
Maintenance
Through our optional Client Care Program, participants can schedule an annual review meeting, where we present a flowchart and detailed summary of their plan, and request updates as their circumstances change. The program is governed by a separate written agreement.
